On my way into Watford this morning, just after 11:00 I caught a climpse of the back end of a chocolate-and-cream rake on the WCML. Looking at RTT, I think it must have been 104H http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U10658/2015/07/07/advanced
but what operator, why did it leave Manchester so early in the morning, and why did it terminate at Wimbledon?

(I understand that current policy is for non-steam trips to be discussed here rather than in What's Going on.)

Northern Belle with 57305 on the front. Was meant to be going to Euston, but no loco on the back to drag the stock out of Euston.

It was a tennis special to Wimbledon. Debenture tickets for centre court etc. Over £2K per seat.....

Similar trip to Royal Ascot recently.

That's a new twist. Don't put a tail loco on & you end up going where you want to be.

I notice that just to confuse punters, the list of pick up / set down points for the various trips are in alphabetical order and not time order?o_O
