    Looks like 40700, the last of the LMS 2Ps, based at Bath for most of its BR career. Guess it is being shopped at Derby.

    Yep Inchicore Dublin...you win!!!! 407 was a passenger 4-6-0 allegedly based on the Star Class but nothing like them imo

    To be fair, I don't think Watson ever said they were based on the Stars -that's just surmise based on his coming from Swindon and the 500s being built as 4 cylinder. Sadly of course as built they were rather poor. As rebuilt to 2 cylinder, they were fine machines - a shame none survived.
