This years Steam in the Park is bigger than ever. 3 wrens, a visiting Baguley and a beer festival!

Peter Pan, Jennie, and Thomas Wicksteed will all be heading to Wicksteed for the first weekend in July. Steam trains will be running from the Friday morning until the Sunday Evening with not many hours off at all!

The parks big summer beer festival has been moved to co-inside, and will feature live music all weekend and over 40 beers and ciders! all down at the railway station.

Steam boats return on the 40 acre lake as well.

where else can you see wrens barking up the 1 in 40 banks every 15 minutes for 14 hours a day this summer!

and triple headed wrens at least once a day is a promise.

The lilleshal Baguley from Apedale is also on site and will be running on the Saturday evening. It is also hoped that the park Lady of the Lake still undergoing a major re-build will move under its own power as well.

Looked at the Website yeasterday including the PDF flyer and it only mentions the Saturday and Sunday.

Can you confirm what's going to be happening on the Friday as I would love to visit but can't do the weekend?

    Many thanks

    Stuart

The plan is to run Thomas Wicksteed from Thursday evening. Jenny will join the fun from mid afternoon on Friday, and Peter Pan will be in action Saturday and Sunday. The best days to see steam will be the weekend, with all three Wrens in action. But there will be steam from Thursday evening onwards. Hope that clarifies!

    Hi Joe

Merlin will be running a bit, early mornings before the steam is ready, and late in the evening when its to dark to run the steam. She will be in the yard the rest of the time. we cant wait for the wrens together either!

Thanks for the link richards. I had considered going but once the Vulcan was confirmed for the Waddington show it was "no contestt" as far as I was concerned.

Sorry to be a pain but have you had any luck with posting these please? I gather Thomas Wicksteed went very well indeed and as a newly recuited driver of her I am not surprised!

    Regards
