A small group volunteers have decided to form a 'Wagon Group' at Minehead. A Facebook page has been started. Those who are not on/dislike FB I will endeavour to update NP. The first vehicle to be repainted is GWR 68765 'Toad' 20 Tons Goods Brake Van (GWR 813 Fund). I understand that the next vehicle will be The GWR 813 Funds Gunpowder Van.
I have been informed that the other GWR Toad based on the WSR is going 'on loan'. This I find rather sad.

Well some parts of the WSR are buoyant it seems: this thread and the outshopping of 5199. Good news.

@nick813 are the funds wagons all plated as owned by the fund , or do you have full proof of ownership of each one ?

Indeed....I am up to my neck seeking companies that can cut new frames for The Coral at GWS Didcot.
It is going to cost a pretty penny for the steel sheet(s) and cutting and transport! the frames are approx 8m x 2m x 12mm thick!

a bit more news from The WSR Wagon Division lifted from their FB page:

WSRWD ' A lot of progress has been made over the last week. Between Seb, Matt and myself the first coat has been completed with a start being made on the second. Seb and Matt did a really great job of painting the underframe and by the end of two days both sides were done. The footboards will probably recieve a few more coats to make sure they’re well protected.
I started on the final painting in the meantime. I applied a 70/30 mix of gloss to varnish to the left hand side. This would hopefully prevent the van fading as badly as it did last time once it ventures outside. Once this is finished the sign writing can begin!
Seb and Matt had moved inside to smarten up the interior. Matt began preparing the windows and back door where the paint was starting to peel while Seb gave the stove a coat of heat resistant paint. There are still a few jobs to complete inside such as repainting the setter handle and making sure the windows open nicely. A new backing for the vacuum gauge is also being sourced. This will be the proper GWR type as supposed to the BR standard it has now.
The finish lines in site now. A few more working parties should hopefully see our first project done and dusted. '
