Following the visit of "Otter" from Pecorama over the Autumn gala weekend on 26/27 September, The miniature line at Woody Bay Station has its own resident loco - a one-third scale Manning Wardle 2-6-2, "Yeo"

Now owned by the L&Bs CME, "Yeo" was built by Milner Engineering in 1979 (Builder's No. 107) for the Buckfastleigh and subsequently saw service at Gorse Blossom, Powderham Castle and Bolebroke Castle.

"Yeo" is 8' long, 26" wide, and with 11" main driving wheels and a boiler rated at 120lbs. per sq. in. weighs 15cwt.

Anyone wishing to run their locos at Woody Bay are invited to contact the railway HERE

You'll be more than welcome - give the station a call before though, to make sure the owner and loco will be there and YEO will be steaming, as there won't be a regular service - certainly not during the winter period.
