Have received a PM confirming that to be the case and that 35467 is currently at Crewe. Excluding Locomotive Support Coaches I believe the total has now reached 18.

Barry Railway Carriage Trust Facebook page carries news of progress with preparation of the Kidderminster end of coach 163 for its first repaint in 6 years. Over 90% of the paint has now been removed with at least 2 coats of Danish Oil applied to the majority as well. A whole tin of wood filler has been used, mainly to provide a smooth finish for painting. On a couple of panels some delamination of the plywood has occurred so these areas are having the top surface chiselled out and then are filled. With any luck some paint can be applied in the next week.

During 163's service life it was repainted about every 3 years. We know this because of the layers of paint found on some of the original parts

650 has now entered Kidderminster Carriage works for comissioning of the steam system, vacuum brakes and the dynamo, plus being returned to its proper bogies. BCK 6562 is being worked on in the works at Bewdley, while CK 6045 has been moved so the GW(SVR) group can work on both sides.

The LNER set is understrengthen atm as two of the open thirds are out for work: 52255 is next to be overhauled in the works and has had the seating stripped (getting rid of the GWR seating) and 43600 has had a leaking roof for which the materials have taken time to acquire but is hoped to be back in service soon. 70759 has also been transfered to Kidderminster, awaiting its turn in the works.

RMB 1853 (out of set C) is currently out of service due to wait for a replacement spring. 1856 is covering meaning GW2 has no buffet atm.

650 is nearing completion and is expected to launched with a special service on the 11th October.

43600 is back in service, while 52255 is awaiting its turn in the works.

RMB 1853 is still out of service.

I believe the intention is for 650 to replace BCK 6913 in the diner thus meaning damage doesn't occur from catering trolleys and the seating can be used for diners.

Just out of curiosity what will happen to Barry 163 when it enters service? Will it just be used at gala's for a small supplement sort of thing?

FO 7511 has been in the works for light repairs and a re-varnish. This is nearly finished now.
RMB 1853 is back in sevice after a replacement spring, and 1855 (Set M's) is now having having its tyres turning and some repairs to a toilet.
BTO 650 has been transfer to the diner.
Further work on CK 6045 can been see here: http://www.gw-svr-a.org.uk/6045-restoration.html
9103 is the Overall Winner in the Heritage Railway Association’s Carriage and Wagon Competition for 2015 (see GW(SVR)A website)

I had a look at this coach last Saturday evening, when I drove the Evening Theme train. It is stunning, just stunning, an utterly beautiful vehicle to be in.

    Regards,
