Was thinking of trying to get on one of the later WCMEs - but not worth the considerable effort and expense, if the outcome might be being shoved ...

Today's one would of only been shoved because it was a load of 12 with a Black Five, so would need some assistance. It 46233 being on the train with 12/13, no problem considering it's tractive effort. I'm on the 7th February WCME with the Duchess.

 

45407 making easy work of any gradient without assistance at Lostock, Bay Horse, Holme & Wharton Dikes.

Very much so, I hope members will use this thread for all future postings related to the WCME, even those concerned with a specific date to avoid the same kind of duplication,

 

Tempted to book for next Sat but does anyone have any clues on the health or otherwise of 46233? Or might we again have a substitute?
