Couple of technical questions...

I notice that they have taken the coupling and connecting rods off but left the eccentric crank and arm in place, is there a reason for this otherwise is it not just leaving something that could run hot? I noticed they did same when moving 46233 the other week?

Is there reason why WCRC took the water carrier down (I assume to provide brake force) rather than a standard carriage, is it something to do with weight?

 

Left over from her last main-line outing? Maybe Mr Smith will give them a good price for it!

Does she have her own support coach?

 

I don't think it did for a few years, I think there was an appeal to buy one a few years ago.

 

Been running with this one http://www.cs.vintagecarriagestrust.org/se/CarriageInfo.asp?Ref=1673 but I'm not sure it belongs to PELS, just assumed earlier it wasn't currently certified.

 

Database seems to suggest that PRLS own it, they also own the sequentially numbered http://www.cs.vintagecarriagestrust.org/se/CarriageInfo.asp?Ref=1925 which came back from Crewe with the broken Duchess at the end of lat year....

 

That one is Dutchess of Sutherland's support coach - I have the Hornby special edition loco/support coach pack.
