Not sure AAIB staff are so sensitive, but if they got mistaken for CAA not really an issue. At the moment if you are RAIB you may not want enthusiasts thinking you are ORR;)

Yes a very good event and a thoroughly enjoyable day on Sunday. Having ridden the trains until about 15:00 a few photographs on the approach to HK. Photographed the double header and thought that as normal I could get to the tunnel well before it...

So nice to have such a wonderful loco running round my home territory now. Looked superbly turned out as usual. I was too late realising the train was coming down the main line Victoria to Bomley South, with the Catford Loop shut for engineering...

Think both the sets were six coach today. Especially like the set with coach F next to coach A. Made be think of a number of railtours I have been on in the past.

Well last year was a Wareham service giving some gaps that do not exist in this years timetable. The first train from Norden is always going to be busy (although at 10:30 not that late), it is very much an "East Grinstead issue". Six coach trains...

Well a BR loco to a GWR design. As someone who lived on the Western most of his life and with two grandfathers who were GWR drivers I can appreciate what it means. Still I guess we will see if they are 5 deep on the sea wall.

Not FS, on a route where steam is not exactly rare these days. Cannot see the general public any more interested than say last weekend.

I was unaware Vintage had any London based operations. So if Vintage did it lots of moves back and forth to Tyseley, diesel on the back (same old debate) as mentioned by @sycamore vacuum only. There are only 4 operators with a steam case and look...

Any idea who this "other operator" may be then? LSL are hardly going to offer up help to a competitor, and anyway the MK1 rake looks pretty well in constant use for the Saphos and SD programmes. I doubt VT have enough steam drivers with route...
