    Maybe if they updated the website to reflect that walk ups are now at significant risk of not being able to travel rather than saying you can buy tickets in the day and promote a way of travelling and that no longer exists.

    Latest SVR news states it became obvious early in the new year that 4150 won't be ready for the Spring Gala (despite a big push) and they are now targeting early summer. On a selfish note 4110 from the East Somerset would make a nice replacement...

    The day I visited, the two of us were virtually alone as turn up and go visitors - all the business was on the pre-booked trips. It is easy to see why the effort goes where it does. I hope it works overall for them

    It's good that we have the technology to estimate climbing speeds at locations such as Wilpshire when we are not even on the train but it is so rare to get detail, simply because, Belmond aside, there is never anything worth reporting nowadays...
