I like the choice of brick - the colour is random. It would look like a new house in a housing estate if all the bricks were the same.

Just returned from a couple of pints at the George. Snapped this on the way in, with the entrance canopy formwork now almost complete: [ATTACH]

There is only one answer - the length that provides the best balance between the numbers that can be attracted to it and the cost to maintain and operate. Longer does not equate necessarily to better, but shorter might not attract sufficient...

Wise leaders will take a range of opinions into consideration, of which those on here will only be part. Let's see what the consultation brings, and how the Trust respond to it. I'm personally content that the question is quite narrow, because...

I agree, but if I were staying in the area, I might well combine Woody Bay with either Lynton & Lynmouth, or one of the nearby-ish NT properties (yes, I am a member...), whether Heddon Mouth or a little further away Arlington Court. And if the...

Also fair - though the "free" garden centre can often be a good half way house. How does (did?) the Sheffield Park option combine at the Bluebell? For NT members, there is a range of options locally that would combine well, at little extra cost.

Very likely true, but that is a function of people and how they have chosen to operate, not organisations. EA/YVT are doing nothing that L&BRT couldn't have done; the decisions and choices are about how each have set their priorities.

Exactly one of the key 'selling points' in the original Phase 2A application, namely that BR would become a P&R for train + coach to Lynton, with the OSI being an ideal 'refreshment stop' for them on the way home. But the Trust tried that and...

I think that the gap is wider (or ought to be) between the LBBC and LBRT. The overlap between LBRT and CIC is understandable and largely desirable. The overlap with 762??? Once more it strikes me strongly that there are too many organisations and...

I agree, but in an organisation like the L&B, the two categories are not completely distinct - hence the challenge

That would depend on the nature of parent & subsidiary businesses. In this case the directors of LBBC as a PLC owe a duty to all shareholders, in the Trust the trustees are (or should be) directed by the governing document. The potential for...

I saw those projections as part of the prospectus, shortly before the purchase but after the 2018 planning had lapsed. Reading it raised a number of significant concerns even before I got to the numbers themselves, concerns which meant that I...

l should have been clearer; by project, I referred to the attempt to purchase rather than the wider L&B reinstatement. A better analogy might have been to someone attending an auction, and setting a hard ceiling on what they would pay. We are...

To be fair, I doubt OSHI will really come into its own until the railway has a presence there. Maybe something to factor in to thoughts on the way forward?
