I think is is just symptomatic of the disjointed modern railway. Locally to me XC may serve Bournemouth, but there are no XC staff at there, the two Southampton stations or Basingstoke as far as I am aware. I am not sure what decent info SWR...

I didn't mean the test run, but rather that many steam runs recently have had 75mph timings on RTT but with slacker schedules than Saturday 27th's.

I understand that, but, for what everyone agrees is a fast run on Saturday, being timed for 60 just seemed odd, even though it will get to 75. There have been plenty of slower steam runs recently with 75 shown on RTT. Only curious - not a big...

Completely agree - some are excellent, but that doesn't make it OK where non-co-operation occurs. It shouldn't be a lottery - if a passenger train of any TOC is scheduled at a station there should be equally good information for all.

I note that, despite the down run being commendably fast, RTT shows it as planned for 60mph max. Now I know all the talk about RTT's timings and max. speeds not being a linear relationship, but this one looks odd - surely it IS planned for 75mph...

The footbridge only has mesh at the higher level, beneath that there is the old, wider lattice which allows fair access through for a lens. [ATTACH]
