I've had the same thing happen at barbers, too. And I have to be honest--when it does, I never return to those establishments. I prefer to find somewhere where my custom feels more valued.

I've been to restaurants with nobody in but been turned away due to being fully booked. You'd think they would want some custom before the other custom turns up (or not!).
