Seen on wcrc facebook page that 44871 is on todays jacobite with a diesel on the rear
Looking at the weather for the area rain is due from friday onwards so hopefully wont be too long before steam can operate.
In previous years during dry periods the steam loco has usually still been at the front but shoved round by a diesel at the back.

Presume Fort william bound the next day with the Jacobite starting on the 7th
End of the season i think
If all goes well with the mainline tests it does ease wcrc/rtc loco situation. 6 air braked locos will be on there books 45212, 45407, 44871,...
What stock could it run with under DB other than the pullmans
I presume 44932 is going to the kwvr so wcrc can carry on using 45212 which usually spends 3 months of the year back home
Youd think 44871 will have to go up at some point 2 trains a day with only 2 locos will be a stretch. But that would leave only one loco for all...

4472 ?
Didnt it have a retube in 2022 to restart its ticket.
Sometimes mid season one of the locos goes back for tyre turning. Could be the reason
Is bittern been fitted with 4472s old a4 boiler or the one it had
