I was in the Scouts as a kid ( Great time) , "Pioneering and preparing the way". Then I became an Engineer , it took a few years, to get it under my belt only about 30, so to speak. Now we can do the Scouting with the "real stuff". Bridges in steel instead of sticks and rope.

      Hi the Eng.,
i have been contacted via this forum by a couple of chaps wanting to new build Br Standard, namely a 2-8-2, BR 1 (Brit) Boiler. Let me know if interested, the project is still at the Homework stage, but someone with a bit of knowledge to 'mark the Homework' would be quite welcome...

To avoid Hate relationships ,a few ideas.

If your going to create something or take on responsibility for some department or task, make sure its done properly. Take time to consider the complete content of the project, not just certain aspects of it that you might like the sound of. Read books, on your chosen project.

Talk to people who have experience and take on board what they say as advice. It might just save a lot of Heartache later, financial loss or just dissolusionment in all that you have tried to do for what seemed the right reasons .

      Just a few thoughts

Like the difficult not the mundane, the best jobs are the ones other people say cannot be done. There has been a few of those, if people want to look over your shoulder or tell others how it ought to be done, best thing is hand them the tools and go and do something else.
