Any of the visiting locos be loaded around 4pm. Might pop by on way home.

    Anthony,

About 30 minutes ago I could clearly see an Allelys low loader on the BL Railcam but I can't see it now.

I suspect it's still there but the tractor unit has been detached from the trailer for loading.

    Stef.

That is common among folk who were born west of The Tamar.

There were a couple of Warflats and Warwells up for sale at Grantham a few months ago.
Any ideas as to who got them?

Just seen a GWR autocoach on the back of a transporter heading north on the M5. Haven’t seen 1450 though.

My footage of the Gala filmed on Sunday which included Double Headed Halls and a few long distance shots including 1450 at Bicknoller and 7822 Foxcote Manor climbing Washford Bank TWICE! Enjoy.

I use the modern PC form: make salute and say "I salute you, Mr. or Ms. Magpie!" (not really possible to tell which, males on average slightly larger). Oddly, I have no idea when or why I started doing this except that it was later than childhood and more than 20 years ago.
Anyhow, I guess magpies have flown well off-topic now.

My mother used to wave and say “Good Morning Mr Magpie” - but only if there was a single one. She was from Cheshire and lived all her life in Shropshire.

I should have said "that is ALSO common amongst people born west of the River Tamar".

Just looking at the photos on Steve's site and wondered why some locos are still loaded /unloaded at Minehead rather than BL where there's a lot more room and it's presumably easier. BL is also a lot more convenient for the M5.
Surely it can't just be because of the number of road movements in a short space of time?
    Any offers? Thanks.

I think that BL is preferred, and the diagrams are usually written to ensure that visiting engines end up at BL. Probably the case with 7714 is that it would not have needed the largest lorry, so it finishing at MD was an option.

Makes sense thanks. Although presumably it could have been tripped up to BL either piloting something or L/E.
