I would like to thank everyone who has replied to my photos, i am sorry but due to declining health of my wife i have not been able to reply to each reply
I will try to catch up as time allows,
and will continue to post photos

I have gained many hours of pleasure renewing acquaintance with old locations and trying to identify some that have been noted as "unknown location". My sympathy to you and hope your wife's health soon improves.

Can but echo the previous replies Neil. Always liked the pre British Railways photos you'd publish here and elsewhere on the LNER encyclopedia forum.

 

My condolences on your loss. Parting is never easy and I can only echo the thought I had many years ago "Think not of those who pass as they are at peace; think only of those left behind as theirs is the grief to bear." RIP

Liking the quote from Fred just doesn't feel "right" but that does convey my thoughts.
Many years ago, I was told to try to look back and remember the good times, they won't age or fade away.

Take care of yourself, and hopefully there are friends and family around to support you, as far as restrictions allow.

I yesterday ventured out for the 1st time after the loss of my wife to buy a senior railcard at Huddersfield station

Took the train from Deighton and took a few photos with my new camera, all units sadly as the 68 hauled TPE have been suspended till the lock down is over I suppose, just 1 in a morning and 1 at night
