    +1

I have gained many hours of pleasure renewing acquaintance with old locations and trying to identify some that have been noted as "unknown location". My sympathy to you and hope your wife's health soon improves.

Can but echo the previous replies Neil. Always liked the pre British Railways photos you'd publish here and elsewhere on the LNER encyclopedia forum.

My condolences on your loss. Parting is never easy and I can only echo the thought I had many years ago "Think not of those who pass as they are at peace; think only of those left behind as theirs is the grief to bear." RIP

So sorry to hear of your loss, Neil. In the circumstances I can't bring myself to "like" Fred's post above but he echos my thoughts. I hope we hear more from you on here in due course, but only when the time is right for you.

    Best Wishes

    Peter

So sorry to hear of your loss Neil. My condolences at this sad time.
Liking the quote from Fred just doesn't feel "right" but that does convey my thoughts.
Many years ago, I was told to try to look back and remember the good times, they won't age or fade away.

    Best wishes, Neil

Take care of yourself, and hopefully there are friends and family around to support you, as far as restrictions allow.
