Rolling Stock For Sale

BSK 34712, BCK 21249 and Bogie Van B 272 listed as 'for sale' by private owner at Nottingham...

The post was originally put in the "Stock Movements" topic, so I have moved it here to create a seperate topic for items for sale. Just to keep the two topics seperate. I've also made the two topics "sticky" so they can easily be found, as both topics are of interested to those involved in rolling stock.

So anything for sale goes in here and anything that has moved goes in the other topic.

 

Has anything come of this at all . Have they been saved?

Just to let everybody know that S34712 and S272 are now safely on our preservation site at www.whitwellstation.com

S34712 is a lovely carriage and is in constant use carrying passengers up and down our 1500' of track S272 needs a bit of work and is being used as an outside store until we can raise some repair fund for it.

FOR SALE - Empty shell with no windows, good bodywork but roof needs work. Has both vacuum cylinders and most of the brake rigging. Bogies are in decent condition.


Currently based at the Midland Railway Butterley at Hammersmith station

SR van for sale

A friend of mine wishes to dispose of an ex-SR PMV currently at a site in the east midlands. It is currently in static use but is complete and the timber seems to be in a reasonable state. It will be sold as seen.

South Devon Railway have a DMU trailer third, 59740. It is to be converted into a mess vehicle for the PW gang. Consequently, most if not all of the seats are available for sale.

Not a For Sale, but a Wanted; I'm after a van/CCT/BG/GUV/PMV etc to use as a mobile stores/workshop, so I'm not too worried if it doesn't have all the windows, but as long as its watertight and has operational brakes. Someone must have something lurking about they don't need any more...

Telford Steam Railway have a 5 ton Smith Rodley yard crane for sale. Believed to have been built as a steam crane and converted to diesel by the addition of a Perkins engine and a torque converter. It has a 30 foot lattice jib. It has not run for some years. Offered as is with no paperwork or certification. Price will reflect our desire not to see it scrapped.
