I am part of the restoration team, and it brought a tear to my eyes to see her "come alive"..

Hear, Hear! I was at Loughborough from about 1982 - 83, & again 1991 - 95, so I remember the Jinty at the back of the shed, & 5224 coming out. Bloody well done to Roger & his crew, one of the unsung hero's of preservation.
Good to see those pic's on that link , bought back a lot of memories! I'm now on the WSR, but I love that Northern, LNER, LMS, atmosphere of Loughborough shed! A little bit of what I remember as a kid!
Glad to see you still use coal braziers for heat in the shed! I think that was started by Barry, another unsung hero!
And the greatest unsung hero of them all- Alen Grice!

Look at the number plate in the photo on the right under the large 69523 plate.

Just thought Id add, that 47406 moved under her own steam for the first time on 23/12/2009, just to Loughborough Central station and back to the shed for completion of her restoration/ amd repaint, not long now before she enter's passenger service.
