    Yes ,weather they're tender or chimney first i'tll still be the same TT. ! that wont change so much that you'll see a difference until they put back the loop at Kensford ,I think ,& there's one other as well.
    ! agree about the turntable, either use it properly or not at all! This 360 deg. turning is just a farce.

    A quick reply to the Chimney first debate. Can I mention a few points.

    Towards the end of a Gala it may well be neccesary to get visiting engines the right way around for a depature on the Monday morning.
    Sometimes there is not enough time in the timetable to turn an engine on arrival at MH. (Ironically there always seems to be more time at BL.)
    The line is a branch line and it would not be at all unusual to have seen it worked tender first in the past.

    Having said all of that in our defence. I do agree - its a continual gripe from the paying enthusiasts and we should try to do something about it. PLus footplate crews would stay a little bit drier! LOL
