    In which case it will rot away, as the previous similar find did - mentioned in the newspaper articles (in Hartlepool, IIRC?)

    I wonder if the discovery of such an important artifact is sufficient to call the development in for review? What if the tramway remains were "scheduled" as an Ancient Monument? Can the City or County Council do that?
