    But how many of them tours depart from Paddington?

    I think tour promoters should try thier hardest to get Great Western steam out of Paddington as once the mainline is electrified and crossrail is finished it will become extremely difficult to path steam chaters on this line.

    I would find a Castle or King out of Paddington on a railtour to the west country far more appealing than a 30min dash from Tyseley to Kidderminster.

    Have you ever thought of transferring to an organisation that does that then? Rather than hang around getting bored in the West Midlands?
