Apologies for the bump, but here is a photo of the driving trailer taken on Saturday:-

The open third is a few vehicles further on, covered by a tarpaulin. Any queries (or offers of assistance!) are of course still welcome.

    Regards

    Nick

'53 now in Goods Shed for repaint.
Unlined Black (I think) is intended for Eastleigh due to lack of time left.

Has anyone done a ballpark costing for the project that can be mentioned here, just so readers can grasp the amount of fund raising and hard work required ?

Probably somewhere in the region of £200-250k for the 2 coaches is the figure we are using at present.

Both stripped for departmental use, 6699 (the driving trailer) still having a fair bit of the Chipmans weedkilling kit inside.

So a new interior needs to be mass produced, anyone got a spindle moulder / table router, and some nice mahogany? [-o<

Out of interest what is the frame work of 6699 like, is the bottom rail still solid, and how is the frame work?

Hopefully you will have them running soon,

The spring edition of Swanage Railway news has a article stating that a appeal is to be launched to assist with the restoration of Maunsell coach and a website created for online donations does anybody know if this is going to happen.
