34028 and going Main Line

    I would assume 34028 will be fairly busy, but they'll likely send a Five down to assist, but if the Polar Express trains are running then I presume that'll take up most of the Fives attention on the weekends.

    I had heard a rumour that 45212 might have appeared at Southall for two or three weeks before it's main line 'ticket' expired. But, even if true, that won't happen now with Riley & Son withdrawing it for overhaul.
    From what I can glean, Jacobite afternoon trains stop working after 26th September with morning trains stopping after 24th October.
    One Black Five looks likely for extensive Polar Express workings out of Euston. 2024 was very popular, apparently, so extra dates have been added to the schedule this December. A few trains are showing Sold Out already!
    I wonder if the second Black Five will be kept at Carnforth as possible cover for Tangmere?
