If as hoped she does turn out for it, it would be good to see BIL if she's been outshoped in BR express green, as it should look complete wth name plates, now what colour should the name plates actually be on an MN, because Clan line runs with either black or red backed plates

It would wind a few folk up if the nameplate said Bodmin after all ;)

And that is for specific reasons. As a general rule, red is normal; black is for the Pullmans. As for BIL, there is no debate about the nameplates apart from ensuring that they are 'handed' as seems not to have happened with another MN out there.

Last had a run with BIL on a stopping Basingstoke service so looking forward to seeing her stretch her legs again.

Please no: I really don't want to see locomotives named Easyjet or Ryanair, no matter how much money it brought in...

Could be worse, if Easyjet sponsor a loco they could insist it goes into their house colours...

Is this so you don't have to update your model of 35018?

Its still in Black, tops no. 98818 and the back cycling totem, which it had for the Shildon Exhibition this year. Will get the repaint into whatever livery it carries, when released, but still interested to see it in black or maroon then its different to rest of engines on the layout.

I just like the idea of it being in a guise for operating in 2017, with a nod to the past.

Can be either. Red is more Southern, but pictures of 35018 as freshly rebuilt show black plates. The class as a whole tended to be a bit of a mixed bag in BR days, some of either. I wouldn't rule out 35018 having had red plates as a rebuild at some point.
