According to an email sent to CFPS members this evening, 40145 is heading from Bury to Crewe tomorrow for a six-month hire period to LSL. How they will use the loco I know not, but await further news with interest :)

Well it’s already taken 37190 from Crewe to the SVR for test work, don’t forget 40013 has a contract with LSL too, and Crewe is sort of half way between, Bury and Kidderminster, I’d say this is quite a sensible thing to do.

Don’t expect to see 40013 for a while ...unfortunately.

Some sort of engine bearing problem by the sounds of it. Not the same problem as what it initially failed with though.

Looks like it will be mirroring the livery from 20 years ago when it was first reregistered to run on the mainline. Will certainly look the part alongside D213.

Well, I've exagerated slightly... October 2002 technically... But it's still longer ago than we think!

They’d be better on 106 or 135 when their boilers are working :)
