4079 “Pendennis Castle” will be visiting the East Lancashire Railway in Spring 2024, courtesy of Didcot Railway Centre, as part of her 100th anniversary celebrations!

Excellent news, pitty it couldn't have made the Spring Steam Gala in March, would have given a line-up from all the Big Four and BR.

I wonder if Didcot have any plans to sort the front end leaks out whilst it is at the ELR?

it was like that on the SVR last year and the KWVR earlier this year, so I guess it’s not seen as a priority.

6023 and 2999 were the same, very leaky at the start of their tickets.

I went over to the East Lancashire Railways (ELR) Western Region Weekend on Saturday 13th April 2024, a mini gala based around visiting 4079 Pendennis Castle and various Diesel Hydraulic & Diesel Electric locos from the BR era
