Roughly as Martin said, (or perhaps as Martin said roughly), 5668 is owned by 4253 Ltd. It has always been intended to be the follow on project for 4253 Ltd, once 4253 is done. The work on both engines has been done by 4253 Ltd, acting as a separate entity to the KESR team at Rolvenden Shed. 6619 is owned by 6619 Ltd, the majority shareholder of 6619 Ltd being the KESR itself. 6619 will be overhauled by the KESR, though with some bits contracted out to 4253 Ltd.

The whole idea is that both 4253 and 5668 would be restored without drawing from the existing KESR staff's time, and KESR resources. 5668's restoration has, in effect, only started because the delays due to Covid have prevented the completion of 4253 to this point. Had the boiler returned, and other bits been completed, there would be no time to work on 5668 now, as we'd be arm-wresting over who gets to bolt the whistle on 4253!

6619's overhaul should start once the KESR has finished the overhaul of 30065. I believe that once the Yank and Charwelton are finished, it is intended to get 6619 and the P class back in, and get them overhauled.

Oh, and Marcia is going back together in the shed at present!

    Many thanks, that makes sense.
