Bob, not sure if you were on the right track... My comment was the reason I failed to leave the shed......

What livery is authentic for a Cheshire Administrator (which has been rebuilt from a Moderator class)?

You could choose from green (with envy); red (with anger); peuce (from excessive imbibing) or white (from extreme anger). Perhaps we ought to mix them all up and designate a new Moderator colour schema (shades of Blue Mink !)

Apparently, there was a time when Ralph wasn't even a member of this forum. I've asked Time Team to try to excavate the server logs to find this time period, but it is taking them ages to get through the layers of wibble. Geophysics can't help as there wasn't anything substantial enough in Ralph's posts to show up on their monitors.

You are getting near the boundaries with this post, if you are not careful the time team may be dredging your remains complete with concrete boots out of the Thames.

I've just had confirmation from the Guiness people that the "Galatea wibble" thread here on NatPres is now officially the longest piece of fiction in the existence of human communication, exceeding in length James Murdoch's evidence to the Leveson enquiry ("I was not aware of any malpractice at our newspapers"); Bob Diamond's evidence to the House of Commons Treasury select committee ("Barclays is a force for good in society") and Bill Clinton's evidence at his impeachment hearings ("I did not have sexual relations with that woman"). 1268 posts and not one verifiable fact amongst them...

I think that I'm going to open a new thread named "a new thread for Galatea". Here it goes.

I'm sure there are some duplicates, offensive ones and others in the recycle bin. Then there are those that went off topic into the realms of loco engineering, other locos and stock that have been split out from this thread and moved to more appropriate ones... I think there are probably 50 posts in the thread that actually link to videos and photos of Galatea as well so after 3 years and 1 month that the thread has been running I think it's a bit harsh to say there is not one verifiable fact amongst them, more like 99.7% wibble... ;)

There is only one subject with a greater amount of boring rubbish being spouted currently and that is in regard to somebody who has announced his intention to retire.
What was it 16 pages in the Telegraph and every other paper with a pull out special.

At least you can pull it out and file in the circular disposal unit.

Any member of our group filing any item of paper in that sort of receptacle would be frowned upon most seriously.
No matter the content we will take all newspaper and make better use of it by recycling as we have done since 1971.
