I think I need to swap Wednesday for Thursday to do my three day week - and take the Jeep off the wife for the day - just to be sure!

What's the weather forecast - and do I believe it anyway! The current Yorkshire Dales webcams look very spectacular

Rumour on another forum suggests it might now be on Thursday, ironically the same day as the now diesel hauled charter from Hellifield to Carlisle.

Roughly same times from 10A I understand.

Hehe, this 'ere retirement is the best job I've ever had. Photo's are a different thing. I enjoy greatly ALL the photo's and video's that you guys post on here, to me they are all good. I'm afraid if I put anything on I would get torn to pieces by our more "entheusiastic" camera operators. I'm happy just looking. :smt023

Oh no, just had a call from a very reliable source, tomorrow is off, and no decision yet if it will be Thursday or Friday, but logically, if they are fairly confident about it, Friday would seem better, to then keep in steam for Saturday...

No problem I expect - only a loco owner making sure the loco is well ready before risking a main line run. After all the time and effort spent to date it would seem a pity to destroy it all by rushing a repair simply to meet a deadline that is sufficiently flexible to allow for postponements if the situation merits it.

And it might also be due to availability of crew, WCRC crew don't just drive on their own charter trains, they have other work as well.
