Stock for Monday's ECS I believe should be maroon Mark 1s/2s that came down last week to work the Spitfire tour today. Current weather forecast is for sun on Tuesday, so pack a brolly and waterproofs!

Aren't there already two sets of stock at Southall? If so why is a third one necessary?

Re 6233, with a 45 minute stop scheduled for Reading tomorrow, does anyone know if this would be likely to be at the platform, or somewhere away from the station?

There are several places at Reading where a train could be held. Certainly not in a platform. Reading is much too busy. The most likely is on the non platform through road between platform 4 and 5. However, as I said in my earlier post, treat the timings with some caution. The pathing stop may not happen.

I have heard from a friend who was on board The Coronation today. This afternoon, 6233's support crew were expecting tomorrow's run to Tyseley & Crewe to be loco + POB only throughout. The thought earlier was that the ECS would be the stock from Sunday's Spitfire. I guess that may have gone north already with the diesels that hauled the tour.

any early confirmation of whether it's engine and support or ECS would be much appreciated as would details of any early or late running . I have a narrow window of opportunity so we'll see ..

    many thanks in advance

Most things coming out of Tyseley are generally held to time regardless of what time they arrived if that's any help to anyone further north.
