    Gents, might I suggest that comparing an express passenger locomotive with a freight locomotive is a bit like trying to compare a Volvo estate with a Lotus Esprit. Built to do two different jobs and share the same basic infrastructure.

    The tribal nature of debate in the railway world can be infuriating at times. I love 103 and the G2A. Any chance we could celebrate their recent successes in steam without it become a cylinder drain cock measuring contest?

    In true Captain Mainwaring fashion, "I wondered who'd be first to spot that"...!

    Guy Martin's Amazon estate is bonkers. Great build for anyone so interested in car modifications. If you do want a fast Volvo, an 850 T5R is probably the most fun you can have in a road going Volvo. I'll have make do with my naturally aspirated four pot 740, obviously.
