    Thanks chaps, the morning was overcast but the evening was lovely. Great combination of loco and stock - 5322 is very pleasant to watch and extremely loud!

    A particularly excellent set of photos there Neil, the B & W shots especially. Also, the warm evening light certainly works on the colours of the landscape, certainly looks like a very enjoyable time by the line side. Many thanks for sharing.

    Thanks Alan, it was a decent evening. Glad we didn't wait longer for 44871 and 45407 on Saturday! I was starting to get a bit cold.

    I've put some more shots up on Flickr. I read Victor's thread on internet browsers and thought I'd see what Flickr looks like on Safari and low-and-behold it's much better than on Firefox - none of the softening I had complained about before.
