Just through Reading West about 10-15 down. Looking great, but wrap up warm if you're heading out to see her - it's bitter outside!

I think 'bitter' is an understatement. Standing in a park for 20 minutes wondering where she has got too makes me think 'must be mad' !!! Just trying to get some circulation back

It was all right until I took my gloves off to operate the shutter button. How one has to suffer for one's art!

Went to Ascot Station to see it, then on down to Hamstead near Newbury. Looking fantastic, sun came out at Ascot, trains were all running late "caused by slippery rail conditions" according to Ascot station announcer. 60007 then proved him right with quite a bit of trouble getting away from the station, a lot of wheel slipping going on! Still, no box on the train was a nice bonus, good to see NR starting to trust steam again. It was bloody cold though. Will post my video later once I've stopped shivering..... the video's probably going to be a bit shaky in places!!!

:cell: PS There were LOTS of Railtour Live text updates for this tour from the time it left Victoria, so was always up to date with progress. Thanks to all who texted in. Bet Buseng was one, probably Theale I'm guessing..... Anyway, if you were hanging about not knowing, you should sign up!

Unfortunately, as much as I would of liked to, I did not manage to get out today. Too much going on at home, stripping out rooms upstairs so the plumber can rip the floorboards up tomorrow to find the total blockage in my central heating pipes. At the moment I have no heating so just as cold indoors as out! Not funny wearing a coat indoors all the time. Also waiting for various Christmas deliveries.

Quick phone video of the A4 this morning at Reading West - http://twitvid.com/MD2RP

Passed Southall earlier on a Turbo going to work and it looked as if 44932 was in steam - can't see any tours for her in the next few days. Perhaps Southeastern have hired her to do a few snow runs into Kent this evening!!!

Good video there. Wonder what the girl was texting ?? 'you're never going to believe this, but........' Yeah, any number of thoughts . I think the M25 could do with the Black 5 aswel, after last nights disaster for thousands. Sitting still for 6 hours on M25 is no joke.

Looks like it was the Green Train which is steam heated (only I believe). I think most of the mk1/early mk2 West Coast stock is capable of being steam heated. The one exception I think is the stock with the chocolate & cream air con kitchen car.
