Probably even better as she seemed to have been held at the end of the 4 track section for a Class 91 and a Voyager to go ahead. Seemed to be accelerating when she passed Yafforth Road - picture hopefully below!

What a magnificent sight Simon, and that chime just does it for me, takes me way back.

Nothing as inspiring from me I'm afraid, usual excuses, light, cold, global warming, price of beer etc. etc. LINK

But it still looks good, particularly with the seasonal message.

    Hi All

    Great Shot Stuart
My effort was taken at 9:00 this Morning as Gresley accelerated away from its Water Stop at Holme just south of Peterborough Quite pleased with the shot. Enjoy. http://www.flickr.com/photos/a4sng/4197112071/

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.

Saw this one of "Gresley" on another forum and I thought it was quite funny.

Scroll down to the third shot HERE and see what you think.

Excellent run yesterday, magical conditions. The sight of 60007 appearing out of the snow at Newcastle in the evening was truely magical.

Mainly on-train footage (from 1st coach) and scenes at Newcastle. Fantastic sound track leaving Stevenage. Thanks to Roger and team.

    Merry Christmas.

I echo No.7's comments about yesterday. It was a great trip and I don't we think could have asked for better weather on the way up! Climbing Stoke with a blue A4 and snow everywhere is something I won't forget in a hurry. Thanks to all involved with running it.

Anyone know who the crew were?

Not sure who the Driver was but the Fireman Was Pete Hanson a friend of mine. He was also the Fireman on the memorable run up Stoke Bank with the 1st Coronation when Steam Railways Mike Notley voted it best performance of the year
