All very nice, 6024 in full Bristolian Regalia, mostly choc & cream mk1's, could of been 50's or early 60's. But no! Why that awful mk2 raspberry & ripple air con stuck in the middle plus the blue monstrosity on the end. Who's coaching stock was it? Obviously haven't got a sense of occasion.

The Blue Monstrosity is the Generator and Admin. vehicle often used by Riviera Trains.

That blue monstrosity is the Genny Car which therefore prevents a "box" being on the back although I agree about the Intercity Mk2 being in the consist. I know that DBS have some maroon air con coaches so one of those would have looked much better but if your sitting in it, I guess it doesn't matter what the livery is?

I'm glad you liked it - had trouble with one of the camera's lenses.

Saw the King trundle through Twyford on time at around 25mph under clear signals. Looks to me like platform clearance slowing (??) because as soon as she was clear of the end of platform 3, she opened up brilliantly. What a noise!

Geoff Ewans inspector hanging out seemingly looking at the clearances from the fireman's side. (By the way Geoff, if you read this, thanks for the "Argyle" chant as you passed. We are back on the bottom of the basement division again and it doesn't look good - I think Bristol City lost again too!)

Wondered why she had slowed; but you're right, the recovery was NOISY. Short vid soon.

Just woken up half of Bath on the way through! I'm going to miss being able to just open the back door and hear this one.

Seems there is no pleasing some people, no diesel on the back, which is the usual grizzle, so now we have to sob about the colour of the coaches....
As you say, if people were actually travelling as opposed to sofa sobbing then the colour of the coach is of little consequence.....

except for the punters stuck in offending coach which it is suggested is an air con mk2 so pretty much sealed from the joyous sounds outside
