Much more impressive than doing 120+ for a short time then breaking down! Didn't tow 6201 back for repairs...

Through Patricroft at 0727 - see attached.

Then the Princess stood under the station bridge at Eccles, taking water from a hydrant on the station forecourt.

The West Coast rake was about half full, doubtless with more passengers to join at Manchester and beyond.

Peter, on a hazy Manchester morning (cooler thank goodness)

Saw her at Colton Jnc this morning, was going to venture over to Diggle but decided i've got far too much to do this afternoon.

Unfortunately i'm still experiencing website troubles in the fact that the big firewall for the UK is blocking all the websites on the server i'm on, hopefully it will be fixed soon, although the website only seems to go down between the hours of 14:00 and around 18:00, it also doesn't seem to effect everyone just certain ISP's.

I have therefore linked you to the old website server of Teenagetrainphotos, so the footage will be available all the time. It also marks the very start of the very final DVD from Steaming Around Yorkshire.

    Footage Available Here

Thanks Stuart, I highly doubt it, I've got too many DVDs to burn for tomorrow. Did you go out this morning? Or you venturing out this evening?

I went out to Burton Salmon this morning and the usual spot has now been fenced off, so it was a quick trip to Sherburn. Good job I left plenty of time.

I'll be out for the return as well, should be sunny for a change.

As usual 6201 was fashionably late!

Great to see everyone's photo's and video's, I was travelling on the train today to 'celebrate' my 60th.Birthday. Travelling from my hometown behind an ex Edge Hill engine seemed a good way to pass the day. Having just returned home after being on a roasting hot train for nearly five hours I have to say linesiding is much more fun!! Mind you the food was good and there was some good spells of fast running on the way back from Scarborough.
