It'll be roughly an hour and a half in car so probably about 2 hours by lorry. Depends on traffic of course

No, very few if any locos are unloaded at Kiddy these days. It'll need weighing and the springs checking before it can be used and it's far more easy to this at Bridgnorth than Kidderminster.

There's been a preference to unload at Bh whenever possible over the last few years so that the arriving loco can be run through the dynamic weighing system in platform 1 without travelling an extra 16 miles.

You learn somthing new every day I would have thought it would have been a bit tight at Bridgo having to swing round off Hollybush Road and up that lane.

It is! Can be a very entertaining watch as the trailer weaves it's way down the hill and into station lane, especially when unsuspecting drivers have parked up on the lane...

Photos posted 50 mins ago show the loco at the A442/A458 roundabout in Bridgnorth so hopefully by now it has managed to get to the station.

It also saves a day and a half on employment for two fitters/ footplate crew to go down to kiddy, get the engine inspected and lit up. Then travel up the line. Having watched 73129 and 92214 being unloaded. I have the upmost respect for the skill of the lorry drivers.
Its such shame I am at Bridgnorth tomorrow morning for some wood butchery....

Got to say it, it looks a cracking sight on the low loader, it'll look even better on rails with the tender hooked on. A Scot in good nick with a decent load on the main line...........nothing better. I have very fond memories from my youth of Seaforth Highlander, I've had "a thing" for Scots ever since.

...and being one of the Hosking fleet, hopefully it will spread its wings a bit further than 46115. Shame I can't make the SVR gala, but there will be plenty of chance to enjoy 46100 in action, I'm sure. I've never had a run behind any LMS 3-cylinder 4-6-0 yet, but hopefully there will be a chance to correct this omission before too long.

A fewyears ago Mr & Mrs V, table for 2, first class, Leeds to KX, with 46115 on the front. It was a good day. The Scot performed flawlessly.

46100 was being lit up earlier and looking shiny.

46100 appears to have had a few issues today, making it at least as far as Highley (pictorial evidence on facebook) but being back at Bridgnorth being shunted around by an 08 and not looking like it was steam by 2 pm (my observation).
