    Well, when you look at the amount of work that Crewe has done since it arrived from Southall, isnt that what has happened anyway? its a good job that JH has deep pockets isnt it , i would have a good guess that when this engine has finally been finished it will go down as being the most expensive and longest restoration ever, on a par with 4472, and is probally why 35027 and 35022 have gone to Bury to be restored

    I think you'll find that very little, if any, work has been done on the boiler since 6100 arrived at LNWR after SSS2. All the time has been spent trying to rectify the chassis.
