The 0Z reporting code indicates a light engine move.

And there is a whisper that the Bristol and York (SD) trips are long trains that will require a diesel. So this may be a rare opportunity to see the B1 perform on her own.

Yes Ray Churchill said he is not expecting a diesel with the train, and hopes he doesn't get one!

Given the weather forecast for tomorrow afternoon, I don't think it will matter much unless you have a waterproof camera, which I don't... :-(

Forgive my ignorance, but can anyone tell me if the Mayflower will be routed on the Great Western mainline track out of Paddington and into Slough, -- or will she run the local slow line, so as not to impede the 1st Great Western mainline regular services?

Real-time Trains (RTT) indicates the lines it should take: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U55229/2015/03/01/advanced
There's a lot of Main-line running, but on the Relief through Slough - Maidenhead

Looks like RTT is having trouble. Can't see any updates for anything on the GWML since about 0840. Any idea whether Mayflower's on time?

It's not scheduled to depart until 08:58.....you're too eager.

It departed 1 min late at 08:59. <BJ>

A sight that will soon change forever. The catenary supports are not far away now.

Blimey, didn't realise that they had demolished it. I used to use this station a lot until we moved.
