Who the bloody hell are you to ask that kind of question?????

Are you a newly elected board member..... Also plotting to stuff and mount or sell, No! Then butt out.

    Rich[/quote:1rbkqmjy]

And perhaps you should check what you have written before you start laying into people on a public forum.

Bean-counter never said one word of what you are quoting him above as saying - so maybe you should apologise to him for:

    1. Misquoting him.
    2. Hurling abuse at him.

The way you lot carry on here about a fantastic locomotive covers none of you in any credit whatsoever, regardless of the rights or wrongs of the situation. Try treating people with more respect and people may be more sympathetic to what has been going on.

In all fairness Mr Hassell, if you read-back to the actual posts, Rich is commenting on LNWR Marks' comment, not Bean-Counters'?

Yeah, but that wasn't what he said - until he edited it anyway....

IS it time to lock this thread

A number of us have contants with various current and formeer members of the society and support group and eac in turn has a different perspective and understanding on what is going on

Ian is probably in the best position to mediate in any dispute between past and present committee members if required and in all honesty a discussion on a forum I can't see doing any good but antaganising all parties

Oh for a big lottery win and i'd write that cheque out now !

I dont think that we should lock this thread?, yes it may be one sided at the moment, but as an 'open' forum, we should welcome the opertunity for the other members of the committee to come on here and assure us of the LOCOMOTIVE'S future?

I am posting on behalf of the committees chairman who would like to know where and who these negotiations have taken place and whom with.

Seems you need to calm down a bit rich before you start throwing abuse around...

And to answer your question I am a person willing to give up my time to see that this engine returns to the mainline.

I agree with you, but with some of the language and inflamed passions on here, I'm not convinced that other members of the committee would be 'welcomed'.

Like I said, a fantastic engine, but maybe a few on here could lay off hurling the abuse, as it doesn't present them in a good light, or make us any clearer about what's going on.

Couldn't care less what colour she is. Having her on the mainline, well maintained & well managed is what's important.

Its a pity that the chairman can't reply on his own, but then again he perhaps hasn't had permission from his guru.

Does anyone know wether the inspection took place and it's result, or is it something else being kept secret.

Yes the inspection took place, not sure of the result, I missed Clive and the others leaving so didn't get the chance to ask them.

When will the chairman decide to call an EGM?  He could then inform members what his intentions for the future are, and also the membership can ask the many unanswered questions they have.May I also say that it doesn't help when Sidmouth says that he has had a confidential chat with the chairman. How do those people who have worked so hard and given of their precious time to work on and for 6201 during the last 10 or more years feel.  They can get no answers ,and would love a confidential chat.

If they are that concerned, why don't the embers call an EGM?

No thanks. The SVR have enough on their plate and they have just got rid of a big green thing 2 years ago. No steam heat on the front end would render it non useable for 3- 5 months of the year. I'm still enjoying the sound of two manors deafening some of the residents (hypothetically)
