In her last ticket 6201 spent a fair bit of time out of traffic (IE not earning), immediately I can remember a bridge bash and the cylinder problem on Shap, 2 incidents that together put her out of traffic for well over a year.

Bridge Bash ? I don't recall that . She ran a hot axlebox with 5043 and then had Valve issues which had to be resolved pre the royal train working

It was quite early on in her ticket, I think she was still East Lancs based at the time, I seem to recall she clipped a bridge around Bolton which gave the chimney a whack to a funny angle that required attention at Buckley Wells.

The cylinder problem on Shap was also a few years ago, blocking the WCML for a while and partly led to DBS bringing in their "no steam over Shap" rule for a while.

Some of the 6201 support crew were at Appleby last Wednesday assisting with the watering of 48151, don't ask me why, anyway when questioned, the reply was "things are going as planned"......

It was just an outline about the cost of overhauling and running of 6201. It also outlined the need to have volunteers to help keep the running costs down.

My plan for this year is to send a few more donations, have a shopping spree of my own on their shop page, and become a member. Here is the page for 6201 souvenirs 6201 Shop Donation/membership page for those who want to donate or become member 6201 Membership Like Bob and many others I sure many are desperate to get Lizzie back on the rails. I would volunteer in Tyseley If I could. That would require quite a bit of moving though. I'm doing what I can.
