But if you were Mick wouldn't you be honoured to have that on the front of your special train.

And what did you contribute to it then, the guy probably contribute(s) (Just spoke to a mate and he thinks he is an Engineer for 6233) a fair bit to 6233 and no doubt deserves it,why should it not be there? Oh,sorry it will spoil peoples photos? What a bloody pity........

Don't know Mck myself but i am sure he must of done something, fair play to the man.

Had a brilliant day behind 6233 yesterday, she was awesome on the way back and the sound was great.

Im sorry you took offence at my post, i was merely aiming to compare in a tongue-in-cheek way that photo with the comments about incorrect headlamps and wrongly sized headboards. While personally i'd prefer something a little more subtle if it was my ugly mug on the front of a duchess (!), i think its quite right that the people with the cash and indeed those who have worked so hard on keeping engines like 6233 on the mainline get to call the shots.

Thanks Mark. Big load but I think we can expect more of the same over the coming months.

What sort of speed did 6233 make over Stoke?

    Hi all

Below is a link to my photo of 6233 heading south through Hadley Wood on Saturday. Moments before she was about to pass, my camera stopped, so all i have managed to get is a pic from a fair distance which has been heavily zoomed in to get something like half decent. Im not one for editing out key features that should be there, but for this one time only due to the circumstances and with assistance from Mark (Alberta 45562) the OLE wires have been deleted.

Annoying it was after travelling down to see it, but these things happen to us all, so never mind. Looking on the bright side, at least it was a record of the day! A huge thanks go to mark for getting the best out of my poor shot.
