I attach a photo of the first day of electric trains on the MML ,16/05/2021 A 360 unit has just arrived with a St Pancras to Corby train on platform 2.I also attached a photo' taken from very near the same spot then platform 3,it is of the last train from Cambridge to Kettering on 13/06/1959.46496 was new to 15B Kettering in 1952.
With the new timetable I think things will be very tight for steam specials ,especially taking water on platform one as is normally done Two trains per hour on the Corby run in each direction use platforms 1 and 2, plus the odd freight and Melton Mowbray to St Pancras train ,which join with a Nottingham to St Pancras on plat'1.
