Fantastic news to hear the J21 is getting due attention and recognition. A massive congrats to the group behind the engine and this project for this milestone and step forward for all concerned.

    Chums,
just a wee note to say that we had a very fruitful first project meeting with the HLF after the good news was announced. As any of you who've ever been involved in a successful HLF bid will know, there's a long way and a lot of work to go but the game is ours to lose. As I've posted before, things will seemingly go quiet for a bit even when we're working flat out. To ameliorate that, 65033 (5033 or NER No 876) now has it's own Facebook page to keep you updated of progress on not only the J21 (or NER Class C) but also the unique 1904 bogie stores van that is part of the project.

    All the very best,

    Toby

I have heard that the J21 group are looking to commission a model to assist fundraising. Great news, I will buy a couple! Will be great to see this workhorse back in steam!
