Of course, but as its 2024 they'll be colourised (probably by AI) before being released...

Or maybe you fell in to the trap….6990 is what they’ve hired!

6990 replaces 2807 which is currently not fit.

Unfortunately, 2807 has issues with a foundation ring rivet, in an awkward place of course!

    Press release as follows:
“CSPL has temporarily withdrawn its locomotive Great Western 2-8-0 No.2807 from operations at the GWSR.
We are still in the first year of bedding in the engine post a 3½ year Heavy General Overhaul
(HGO); issues have arisen that are best to address now. The loco is being moved to Ian Riley's facility in Bury to address these minor issues asap.
The CSPL Board and Riley's have agreed a plan to address them to ensure 2807 can return to service and we (CSPL) can focus on the engine operating at the GWSR with potential visits to other preservation railways in the coming years."

The loco is expected to move to Bury for fettling on Thursday. Bit of a blow to say the least.

Apologies from drifting away from "Betton Grange." I'm looking forward to seeing this loco, as I'm sure are many other people.

Wasn't the Battlefield Line proposed as the running in location originally after it missed that gala?

Yeah thanks for that! I think I understood that earlier when I was madly re-writing a timetable! But thanks for your wonderful insight there mate :)

And the phrase you are looking for is won’t be appearing just yet!

Quote. Not yet. Not for when ‘the cost of the ticket will be worth it’ and I look forward to seeing it soon.

At the time of writing the cost of the ticket was worth it, and to be honest the cost of the ticket is worth the event now. But I won’t argue, I know it’s worth it, if others don’t that is their issue. I look forward to seeing those who think it is worth it

It was initially planned that running in would take place before the gala and then the gala would be it's first public services. Then it shifted to it would be doing the running in after the gala it wasn't going to make, and now we're at a point where (publicly at least) it is not known if or when we will see 6880 at Shackerstone

How come you haven't told us that 6880 will not be at the Gala? Reported in SVR What's On today.

Which @2857Harry posted yesterday in the gala thread so I’m not sure why you think he hasn’t told us?

In other news I did chuckle at the latest Heritage Railway who report the grange running in at the SVR while still apparently appearing at the WSR gala (which we know it isn’t) at the same time, then GWSR with a visit to the Battlefield later in the year apparently planned.

As others have said it’s been reported elsewhere, maybe an apology is needed to certain other members on here?
