70013 Broadsman - King's Cross to Holt 11-3-2010

Prior planning for an extra lie in. Like it. Great to see you got a good picture for only turning up a couple of minuits before. Harringay is not a bad place as its on the curve, but you just have to hope for the best that nothing bowles you out as we nearly found out. Great to see a fellow Nat Pres member out and about, so was nice to briefly see you mate.

Sounds like your 2's luck combining there with all the units,and the regulator shutting! Any of your friends from Hadley Wood there Oli!?

 

No Mark. For once i had a nice peacefull wait for the train on the platform end of Harringay station and was talking to this couple who had come down from MK area i believe it was and also meeting 5944 and a couple of others. Makes a nice change to the usual characters i seem to encounter....but it was all back to normal when i had this guy behind me at Sheringham droning on, talking rubbish and shouting at the top of his voice to annoy everybody around us. Its a good reason why i stick to stills as you can only imagine the vids i would end up with. 'Comical Day Out productions' has a nice ring to it though!

As mentioned earlier, i have now managed to get my pic from yesterday uploaded to computer. On the link below, 70013 is captured passing Harringay, with the fireman having a bit of trouble with the injector. Out of shot with a unit heading north on the fast, i could have ended up with nothing. Phew!
