How about Kingswear Castle operating at the Minehead end of the line.. ?
Unlikely I do not think the WSR has any marine facilities. The DSR has both marine and steam engineers and facilities, that is why she was chosen to be operated by them.
'twas intended to be a humorous suggestion, how about Watchet then ?
I really hope this loco gets somewhere this time. It's had a sorry and undeserved history: 15 years working for BR followed by 55 years changing hands as scrap.
Isn't Hogwarts Castle a Hall with ideas above its station?
Not according to Hornby!
Wonder what this means for 7027?

Nothing bad if that's what the thought is!
Heritage Railway magazine this month reports she is off to the WSR to be restored there.
I see that no. 7027 "Thornbury Castle" will be exhibited at the Great Dorset Steam Fair. Here`s a video posted on facebook
On the WSR thread:
It's remarkable how much travelling this loco is doing as its restoration gets going.
So it's no longer being done at Tyseley?
Perhaps the reason why Bob Meanley has become the temporary WSR CME - to keep an eye on progress ?
Seems unlikely to me.
Was any work done at Tyseley? It was previously reported it would be going there. It was also previously reported the bogie had gone to Williton for work to be done.
Isn't 7027's owner recently appointed to a senior position at the WSR, might be seen as better form to bring the business to the railway?
As I know the owner reads the forum perhaps they would like to comment . I suspect as Kinlet Hall is under overhaul at Tyseley , some work can start at Williton where there may be some more space and cover
