Could it be lack of bookings £95 standard class seems expensive to me.

Rumour has it that the Duke is moving LE to BTL on Friday (although apparently the route and timings have not yet been confirmed), and will be based in Bristol until September, or at least until Tornado is back in service.

Apart from GBP 95 being a little bit heavy, could it be the old favourite "pathing constraints"? I note it is provisionally supposed to be leaving Preston at 06.30 on the web-site, and feel this may also have something to do with "low numbers". I don't think I'd rush to book a tour like this at this price, not having any idea whether the powers that be might ordain that the "only available pathway" leaves Preston at half past four....

And by the way, I note the tour is still being advertised on HF tours' web-site, which I don't think is very clever.

HF Website now showing as Site Under Maintenance and has been so all day. No wiser as to reason for tour being cancelled.

Hope this is not a bad sign for another rail tour operator. Market remains sensitive so I hope Haydn has not hit problems.

Reported on another site that trip cancelled due to low bookings; could it be that running 71000 from Preston was an attempt to drum up trade ?

The Cumbrian Coast trip on 3rd of July wasn't full and pax on that were offered a £25 discount for the Heart of England trip. I have seen a £30 discount offered on another site for the same trip.

Just hope Mr Fortune will run more trips in the future with better loadings.
